Fragility, Conflict & ViolenceFragility, conflict, and violence (FCV) complicate development efforts, but more fundamentally, it directly impacts people's livelihoods through insecurity, displacement, and violence. Ending extreme poverty is only possible by tackling FCV as a development challenge. By 2030, nearly half of the world's extremely poor will live in countries affected by FCV. The total number of forcibly displaced people is estimated to be 103 million[i]. At the same time, around 81 percent of the estimated 193 million [ii] people experiencing acute food insecurity are in countries affected by FCV.
